Our Renewable Energy Commitment
We are constantly investigating options within the renewable sector and are strongly committed to reducing climate change
In June we 2020 installed a further 476kW of solar panels at East Ardler Farm to increase renewable electricity energy resource and reduce reliance on the grid
In 2017 we installed a mains gas CHP unit to reduce our energy usage at East Ardler Farm
In 2015 we installed 250kW roof mounted solar PV panels on the grading shed and cold stores to generate electricity. 95-100% of which is used on site
In 2013 we converted the grain dryer at East Ardler from kerosene to mains gas
In 2012 we installed a 990kW straw fuelled biomass boiler at Taeblair Farm for grain drying purposes
The wood used for our potato boxes is 100% from certified sustainable sources
